01. About

I'm a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with 9+ years of experience, based in Chatham, Ontario, born and raised in Toronto. I design and build apps from scratch and modernize legacy stacks, with an emphasis on system design: envisioning the entire tech stack to find the best solution, which has led to many successful large-scale projects.

Right now I'm at PiinPoint, a location intelligence platform, where I've led the Reflux to Redux, Leaflet to MapLibre and React 19 + shadcn/ui design-system migrations, rebuilt the custom reporting platform, built the TradeArea Editor, and planned and built Sitematch, including an AI-powered portal that turns broker submissions into structured listings.

Before that, at Shopify, I was head developer for AuditCreator, an internal tool I built from scratch for the Storefront Optimization team. It replaced a manual Docs-and-Sheets process and was used in enterprise sales engagements.

Outside of work I build AI-native developer tooling. AgentWire, a self-hosted cockpit for running fleets of AI coding agents, is open source, and I run my own daily work through it (12+ concurrent agent sessions). I research how LLMs work under the hood — I don't leave the tools I use as black boxes.

I also run dotdev.dev, where I share open-source projects.

A workspace for a whole fleet of AI coding agents.

Inside AgentWire

A self-hosted, keyboard-driven cockpit for agent sessions, isolated git worktrees, recurring jobs and voice interaction. Built for my own workflow: I run 12+ concurrent agent sessions through it daily.

AuditCreator

An internal tool that replaced a manual audit process.

Built from scratch for Shopify’s Storefront Optimization team (~9 users). It replaced a manual Google Docs and spreadsheets audit process with a curated, data-backed recommendations library auditors could tailor per storefront — used in enterprise sales engagements and credited with helping land several enterprise clients. I was head developer and project lead for about two years.

Playchek Inspector

Field inspections that keep working without a connection.

Inspection checklists, photo evidence, drop-test records and on-device PDF reports for Playchek Services Inc., an Ontario playground-inspection company, across web, desktop and mobile. It replaced the owner’s Excel workflow and cut his inspection and reporting time roughly in half, which let him expand the business. It is also where DocumentScribe began.

The generalization of Playchek Inspector: after replacing one company’s spreadsheets and halving its reporting time, I turned the pattern into a multi-tenant report builder — reusable content, editable variables and document export — so many businesses get similar productivity gains and cost savings, with far easier onboarding while each keeps its own setup. In beta testing with real users.
